Iroko
Colour varies from light yellow to golden brown. Texture is coarse often with interlocked grain. Works moderately easily. This is a hard wearing timber, resistant to decay. Has many of the desirable features of teak. (very durable)
Sapele
Dark redish brown. Grain is interlocked or wavy. Medium to fine texture. Works fairly easily. (moderately durable)
Utile
Fairly uniform red or purplish brown. Grain is interlocked and rather irregular.
